Click Monitor from the menu options. This incorporates both the StreamReader, Plays information, and the Sonic Dashboard.
Monitor
The ‘Dashboard’ view provides top level counts, whereas the ‘Plays’ view provides a listing of your Plays and functionality to select just the data you want to see.
SonicKeys are monitored in real time and displayed in the Monitor section.
In the Monitor section click on ‘Dashboard’ and you will presented with the view below, showing you:
- Count of Radio Stations currently being Monitored – Top right
- Green Box’s – Top level summary counts of:
- ‘X’ Plays,
- From ‘Y’ Tracks,
- By ‘Z’ Artists,
- At ‘A’ Radio Stations
- In ‘B’ countries
Click on a box to drill down to detailed counts for each count. You can also use the menu options: ‘Plays’, ‘Tracks’, ‘Artist’, ‘Radio Stations’, ‘Countries’ to view these details counts.
In the Green Box click on
- 10 Most Recent Plays
On clicking each SonicKey, a pop-up is displayed with MetaData.
Date Range & Filter
You can use the ‘Data Range’ and ‘Filter’ to drill down to the specific view you want to see. The Filter enables you to select by:
- Channel
- Country
- Artist Name
- Label
- SonicKey
- Radio Station
- Track
- Distributor
- Encoded Start and End Date
The ‘Date Range’ and ‘Filters’ selected will apply to all views you choose to display, until you click the Filter ‘Reset’ button, and change the Date Range.
Time Zone
By default all dates & times are shown in the GMT, Timezone. You can change the timezone so that all times are displayed in the timezone of your local browser. Do this by clicking on the TimeZone drop down and selecting ‘Browser Local Time Zone’. See below:
View Complete Field / Change Column Width
View Complete Field: If the column width is too narrow for the complete field to be viewed, hover your cursor over the field contents and the full field will appear.
Change Column Width: The first three columns of the dashboard are fixed. However, if you hover your mouse between any column from the Radio Station column onwards to the right, a vertical line will appear and you can drag the column to change the width of the column.
Scroll Left & Right / Sort Column
Scroll Left & Right: If all columns do not fit on one page, the Scroll bar will appear at the bottom of the page. Use this to scroll right & left.
Sort Column: Click on the column header to sort the data by that column.
Export
Click on ‘Export’ to the right of the ‘Filter’ to export the MetaData and Plays data for your Top 10 plays to Excel or csv.
My Plays View
To view a detailed list of all plays or plays meeting a Date Range and/or filters selected go to the Plays view.
To do this either click on ‘My Plays’ in the menu, or in the Dashboard click on the ‘My Plays’ green box count. Use the Date Range and/or Filter to to drill down to Plays you want to see.
If you change any of the ‘Date Range’ and ‘Filter’ criteria, the counts will change to meet the revised criteria. This will apply to all views you choose to display, until you click the Filter ‘Reset’ button, and change the Date Range.
The count at the top left below ‘My Plays’ shows the total count meeting your selection criteria and shows the count of rows shown on the page. At the bottom right you can click on the page number you want to view or use the arrows to scroll from one page to another and back.
Export: Once you have selected the Plays required, you can export the data selected to csv or excel by clicking on ‘Export’ top right.
To return back to the dashboard, just click on ‘Dashboard’ in the menu or use the back arrow in the Google menu bar.
My Tracks
To see a count of Plays by Track, either click on ‘My Tracks’ in the menu, or in the Dashboard click on the ‘My Tracks’ green box count. The counts shown are for the Data Range and Filter Criteria selected.
Click on a row and you will be taken to the ‘My Plays’ view, which will show just the plays for the ‘Track’ row selected.
To return back to the dashboard, just click on ‘Dashboard’ in the menu or use the back arrow in the Google menu bar.
Artist
To see a count of Plays and a count of Unique Tracks by Artist, either click on ‘Artist’ in the menu, or in the Dashboard click on the ‘Artist’ green box count. The counts shown are for the Data Range and Filter Criteria selected.
Click on a row and you will be taken to the ‘My Plays’ view, which will show just the plays for the ‘Artist’ row selected.
Radio Stations
To see a count of Plays and a count of Unique Tracks by Radio Station, either click on ‘Radio Stations’ in the menu, or in the Dashboard click on the ‘Radio Stations’ green box count. The counts shown are for the Data Range and Filter Criteria selected.

Countries
